Sutton & the Specialist is an online series bringing advisers closer to the people and conversations shaping the specialist lending market.

Hosted by Tony Sutton, Managing Director at Specialist Hub, the show features expert-led discussions focused on real market challenges and emerging themes advisers are dealing with right now.

The 2026 series launches with Roger Morris and Rowan Morrow-McDade, setting the tone for the year ahead with practical, adviser-focused insight into the issues dominating conversations right now.

Each free, online session is designed to give advisers clarity, confidence and practical insight they can apply immediately when supporting clients with more complex lending needs. Roger Morris

Group Distribution Director

With over 30 years in the UK mortgage industry, Roger Morris brings a wealth of experience to his role as Group Distribution Director at Chetwood Financial. He is dedicated to expanding the presence of ModaMortgages and CHL Mortgages for Intermediaries across networks and mortgage clubs, ensuring brokers have the tools and insights they need to navigate the specialist lending market.

Roger's career has always been driven by a passion for education and empowerment—whether leading teams, sharing practical expertise, or helping brokers identify opportunities to better serve their clients. His commitment to the industry continues to shape the way brokers approach specialist lending, providing them with the knowledge and support to succeed

Rowan Morrow-McDade

Tax Director

Rowan Morrow-McDade is a Tax Director at Alexander & Co and is the UK’s most qualified tax advisor. With over a decade of experience, including early training at Deloitte, Rowan specialises in property tax – advising landlords, developers, partnerships, and property companies on efficient, compliant strategies.

Recognised for his expertise, Rowan has addressed MPs in Westminster, been featured in Vogue Magazine, Times Radio and the Financial Times, and was named the 9th most influential accountants on X by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.

Marie Grundy

Managing Director, Residential Mortgages and Second Charges

Marie has over 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry, with a strong track record across both lending and broking. She began her career as a graduate trainee at Yorkshire Building Society and has since held senior roles across the specialist lending sector. Marie joined West One in 2017 and is now managing director of the second charge and residential division, overseeing loan origination, sales management, distribution, and product development.

Prior to West One, she was managing director at specialist distributor V Loans, giving her a unique perspective on both sides of the market. Marie has also held board positions with the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries and the Society of Mortgage Professionals, underlining her long-standing commitment to the industry.
